Entering the Market…or Not

One interesting item learned recently in Professor Maloney’s and Fernandez’s class was the opportunity to think like a marketer with an example of a company interested in the best path to take. After giving my recommendation to the best of my ability, I realized that many times the wrong answer could really sink the company in question into a hole very difficult to recover from, especially when it comes to brand association. It is important that a company is aware that people will form mental connections and will make assumptions from those, so it is always best to make thoughtful decisions when entering a marketplace…or not.
